Second Mile People is the last of Isobel Kuhn’s many books. The transcript was discovered tucked away in a big file several years after Isobel’s death by cancer. These six “second-mile people” were friends and colleagues whose lives made a deep impression on Isobel. These lives were, as she put it, “Splendid meteors trailing such radiance after them that something of their own celestial fire has sought to enter into us also.”
