The Eternal Living Word
The Eternal Living Word, Breathes Life
I Peter 1:23, “For you have been born again, but not to a life that will quickly end. Your new life will last forever because it comes from the eternal living word of God. As the Scriptures say, “People are like grass; their beauty is like a flower in the field. The grass withers and the flower fades, but the Word of the Lord remains forever.” And that word is the Good News that was preached to you.”
One day our bodies will be consumed, they will perish. There is nothing in us that enables us to live eternally, but it is the Living Word within. Because we have been born again, we have the Eternal Living Word of God within us, and He is Forever, therefore we will live forever in Him. Though our bodies perish, we will not die. However, forever does not begin when we die. Forever begins at the point of conception. When we are born again, we are born into New Life. So, when living in light of the Eternal, every activity gives glory to God.
There are no activities in our lives that are “too small.” When Christ dwells within, every activity whether worshipping, taking the kids to practice, working, doing laundry, talking with the neighbor, or reading quietly on the porch, brings life. The Eternal Living Word, will never die. He will always go out. He will always breathe life.
John 6:33, “The Spirit alone gives eternal life. Human effort accomplishes nothing. And the very words I have spoken to you are spirit and life.”
“Only one life, ‘twill soon be past. Only what’s done for Christ will last.” C.T. Studd
