Who Do You See

Who Do You See in the Mirror?

Walking hand in hand through the halls of the nursing home, the little lady abruptly stopped, backed up a step, looking intently into the mirror, she stated a little louder than a whisper, “Look, it’s my mom!”  As she stood transfixed for a short time, she broke into a sweet smile.  I wish I had a picture of her gazing in the mirror.  I could not help but be happy at the resemblance of her mom that she had noticed in herself and then the joy that broke forth on her face.

As a Christian, do we look more like Jesus every day in our looks, in our actions, in our words, in our reactions?  Do we back up, look intently into the mirror, and transfix our eyes and say, “Look, it’s Jesus?”  Do we smile because we are more like Him?

“So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord, who is the Spirit, makes us more and more like Him as we are changed into His glorious image.”  2 Corinthians 3:18.

This should put a smile on our faces.
