You're Going to Make it!

“Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it: I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. Isaiah 43:18-19

               You’re Going to Make It!

Thinking about life as I looked out the window I saw trees golden in the sun. Somewhere between day and sunset some leaves turned golden while others in the same tree were dull.  What made the difference? I did not care!

Grabbing my camera I opened the door, capturing the sight in fall air. The sun peeking between clouds brightened only certain parts of trees that displayed otherwise dull green leaves.

The thought came to my mind scattering unbelief. “You’ll make it!”, God quietly assured my heart.

No matter how dim or how uncertain life is God will do the impossible. Did He not let me see the beauty atop some trees? I snapped the unusual picture just before clouds hid the sun.

Thank you, Father, for your guidance in seeing the glimpse of hope in trees.  May I always see through You, victory will be won. You make a way where there is no way.

God did know what was to come. That fall picture of golden trees in the sun was a comfort given to me ahead of time. In December of that year Keven, our son with physical handicaps, had to have emergency gall bladder surgery. He had some rough moments. I am so thankful God helped me store confidence in Him and His timing before I went through that December storm.
